One of the things I hate about planning a wedding is turning down people. I know it's better to let them know outright rather than let them wait, and that it is part of their jobs to accept rejection. But rejection is still rejection. And no matter how polite you say it, it is still rejection. I have come up with a standard spiel and is now considered as an expert at politely turning down people (ask R, she'll testify that I do this great). So far, with the people I have turned down, I'm still friends with a couple of them, believe it or not. In my case, even if I don't get them, basta I like their product, I tell people about them. Kasi that's my way of helping them and saying that they have good products, just not what I was looking for. Even when not in the wedding scenario, I say things that are only true. I only advertise things that I really like and would only refer people who are really good. Takot ako sa Karma e.

My first trip to Binondo. Yes, I am a newbie when it comes to visiting places in Manila. I admit that I've only been to Ongpin once, and that was this Sunday. I went to Binondo yesterday with DA POGI and it was my first time too. You can call me an old Manila virgin. I ate at Jollibee Binondo, where they have Chinese newspapers and bought hopia in Eng Bee Tin. Walked through the streets clutching my bag to me because my mom kept on telling me to be careful as if streets were laden with pickpockets. Went to Binondo Church and found it to be surprisingly clean and without any trash or beggars near it. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of horse poo going around because of the number of kalesas in the streets. Sometimes you have to experience something first hand. I thought that it would be a nightmare. It was a breeze. Can't wait to go to Divisoria.

Watched Kill Bill last Saturday with DA POGI. I liked the movie eventhough I was flinching through the most part of the movie. Blood was overflowing! And it's funny how blood spurts when heads are cut. Hehehe... Also reaffirmed that I liked Lucy Liu. Parang she's always the strong woman. Basta kick-ass. Pero mas kick ass pa din si Michelle Rodriguez. Kaya mas type ko sya. Hehehe... :) Also finished reading Da Vinci Code. Dan Brown presents a lot of things to think about. I think if a person is easily swayed, he should not read this book. It's fiction that can be misconstrued as fact. Basta. Kawawa ang hindi makakaintindi nito.

I've been trying to convert a pdf file to be readable in Palm. I was using the acrobat reader for palm OS but everytime I open the file, I encounter an error. Hay!

I've been logging more and more posts in my wedding diary than here. It seems that all I can think about nowadays is the wedding and how to make it all the more special. Well, of course than and the yearly assessment of accomplishments. O well. Back to giving feedbacks.

Had fun last Saturday with the girls. Went for an early morning run, followed by badminton and breakfast at Tapa King. After a quick shower and nap (yeah, I'm bad), went to the mall and had coffee and a couple of hours of shopping. Was able to buy 3 shirts. Got orange, hot pink and dark green. It was L who chose the dark green which was very dull compared to the other two. I need to buy a new bag and new shoes. I only have one bag which I've been using for almost a year. And my loafers are all scruffy. Hay! ang tagal naman ng sweldo para makabili ako. :) On the wedding front, things have been quiet. Looking forward to next saturday so that we can make progress again. I was supposed to meet with invitation printers kaya lang, since DA POGI was not around, I had to cancel. He wants to be part of the choosing kasi. Hopefully, we'll be able to choose a printer before the end of next week. Gotta love Mondays! :)

John Grisham is getting to be too predictable for me. I'm currently reading the King of Torts and halfway in the book, I had a feeling on how the book will end. Syempre, pinatulan ko, so I browsed the last chapter. Grisham is trying too hard to be not predictable in that he is getting to be predictable. Parang Ala The Partner atsaka Runaway Jury ang King of Torts. But, I'll still finish it. Sayang naman e. I've been receiving emails and BBs in Friendster about the new coke commercial. I've only seen it once, without sound pa. Pathetic, but I saw it while having lunch in one of the restaurants near work. O well. I have no idea na rin what's happening sa mga TV shows na gusto ko. I don't have season 2 of Alias and Season 3 of CSI yet. And no Friends season 5 yet! Backlogged na talaga ako. :(

I am now an owner of a new phone. A Sony Ericsson T230. Ang hirap pala pag galing ka sa Nokia tapos lilipat ka. Kanina pa nagkakandalito lito ang mga daliri ko. I can't even text properly. As in ang bagal ng mga daliri ko. sobrang dami pag pipindutin bago makarating sa tamang menu. :( Spoiled talaga.

Some random thougths on a Monday morning. -- ROTK rocks. Watched it yesterday at Eastwood. DA POGI and I sat next to the Magalona Family. -- Starbucks Mint Tea is so refreshing. Parang hindi na ako gaanong inaantok. -- I think I have a problem when spelling with gth. I always get confused when spelling height, weight, thought... -- Eastwood opened cinemas right?! and they start screening before 12NN... Then how come there are no good restaurants open before noon?! -- I've never actually been to Eastwood on a busy night. -- If it weren't for DA POGI, I wouldn't have found out that Britney Spears got married and got annulled in the same week! Yan muna. Scatterbrained this morning.

I'm seriously scared that someone might discover my wedding diary online. Seriously. I have a feeling that people will judge me based on what they see. I might be judged as someone who is going insane. I know. I felt the same way when I reread some of my entries. I've always felt that DA POGI is so patient with me. He always goes with me whenever I meet with suppliers. Atsaka tahimik lang sya pag nagsisimula na akong topakin dahil sa wedding. Swerte talaga ako. :)

I think that one of the best compliments that one can receive is to be told that you are so much alike with the person complimenting you. Such is the case with my future father in law. He mentioned to DA POGI that I am just like him when it comes to relating to people. He also mentioned it to me in one of our conversations. My future in laws are very good people. My future mother in law is one of the most thoughtful people around me. She also gets along so well with other people. DA POGI's dad on the other hand is such a jolly person! I've always liked talking to him because it just seems so easy. He always manages to make people laugh when they talk to him. Talking to him, one would see where DA POGI got his sense of humor. ;) It's a nice day today. A little cold in the office, but I'll manage. :)

I'm definitely a mad bride. I've been keeping a diary of things that happened during our wedding preparations. Para bang documentation to help me when the time comes that I would be telling my story. Kakatuwa when I read it. I find out that I am not that OC when it comes to some aspects of the wedding. Some lang. Kasi there are still some items that I feel are more important than others. Battery charger still missing. Can't find it at home even if I already cleaned up the whole room. :(

I am not in a good mood and it's only the start of the year. First off, my camera battery charger is missing. I'm not sure where I last charged my batteries. All I know is that I did it before the Christmas party. I had 2 batteries fully charged. I've been racking my brain since last Saturday trying to remember where I last put it. It's not at home, and it's not here in the office. For now, it will just be the case of the missing camera battery charger. :( Then, when I came into the office this morning, the project that I was hoping would be finished was not! I was so surprised that they were not able to finish it. And they have a very lame excuse as to why the project was not completed. Hay! All I can do is breathe deeply. I hope this is not a premonition of things to come.
