I got my new SD card for my palm. Was tinkering with the MP3 player last night. Just realized that the mp3 playback function is not really that useful. It only allowed me to play a couple of minutes (my battery has only a quarter remaining), and then it shut down, because my battery was almost depleted. Makes me wonder if I should get a new mp3 player. Will be using it for travel din naman. Eto na naman ako, thinking of new ways to spend my money. Para bang since I know that I'm getting married soon, I'm making a mad dash on my electronics purchases. Hay! My January schedule is jampacked on things that I need to do for the wedding. We are so far back logged in schedule because of the holidays and simple procastrinating. I'm definitely on non-mad bride mode. Went with Tito V, Tita R and DA POGI for dinner in Una Mas. Tito V's treat. Tito V is one of our ninongs in our wedding. Got really close to my tito and tita when I went to the US two years ago. No weekend in the whole trip was wasted because they always had an itenerary for me. They taught me the value of having a complete schedule mapped out when going garage sale hopping. :) Anyways, dinner was great, we had buffet and oysters were eat all you can. I loved their maja blanca! Super sarap talaga. And also the croquetas, yummy! Napaghahalata ako na I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to restaurants. My tito and tita have eaten in most of the restaurants in the Greenbelt strip. Everytime they ask me if I want to eat somewhere, I tell them that I haven't eaten there yet, so it's ok. Maybe I eat too much McDonalds.

DA POGI gave me an early Christmas present. He gave me this. Sure, it took us 1.5 hours to get a parking space in Greenhills. And it took a lot of his patience to pacify me because of the really bad parking situation (I was hungry because I didn't have any breakfast due to the fact that I had blood drawn that morning). I was happy happy happy when we got home because I have a new toy to play with. Printed a couple of pictures from my cousin's wedding. Scanned pictures for my mom, sister and bro. The only thing I have yet to use is the photocopying feature. I'm bringing this with me when I move to our new place. :)

Was talking to another bride who's getting married the same month that I am. I thought I was a mad bride. Her done/to do list is more detailed that what I have. Put me in shame. :)

I'm such a scaredy cat. Bought American Gods simply because my officemate said that it was a good book. Didn't even bother to see what the book was all about. Call it impulse buying or buying blindly. I didn't know that the book was of the horror genre. And now, I can't start reading it. Because now I know. Sayang yung 350 ko. :(

Watched Elf today. Sobrang kakatawa. Definitely felt the Christmas spirit. Actually, I felt it so much that I decided to start buying gifts na for my inaanaks. Yes, ganun na ako ka backlogged sa christmas gifts. Wala pa ako ni isa. Ultimong yung gift kay DA POGI, ala pa. Hopefully, all of these will be mended this week. Problem na lang yung cash flow. Hahaha... :) I'm thinking that they won't close up the barrio after all. Suddenly everyone wants to do their part and pay just to maintain the site. Cool nga e. Parang Filipino Bayanihan in another form. :) In reality, deadma lang. I'm more concerned about my friend. :( Christmas na. Ilang araw na lang. Two days na lang simbang gabi na. I know that I won't be able to make simbang gabi this year. Anticipated simbang gabi is too late for me at night and the real simbang gabi in the mornings would make me late for work. Hay! Today I am rejoicing because I did a good deed last week. Secret ko na lang. :)

So this is it. Barrio Alimasag is closing down. Been a poster of the barrio for the last 3.5 years. I chanced upon it when I was just starting to work at the old office and my boss was starting to piss me off with all the micro managing. It gave me quite a number of laughs. The board is truly pinoy in that you can see the pinoy sense of humor emanate from every post. I developed a number of friendships there. I was the promotor of ali in my old office. Mitch and Raki saw me one day posting and almost choking from laughing about something, got intrigued and registered. We started talking *in code* about people that we chanced upon in the barrio. Mitch and I sometimes correspond through the private messages of the boards. The bond got stronger because of the barrio experience. I am quite proud to say that I have not only been a member of the boards but at one time I have been a mod and an admin. To this day, I am one of the Bored members. I hope that I will always be Back Beauty and Julia Roberts to the other members. I'm just hoping that I maintain all correspondences with the friends that I made there. To mak, Lakan and Santa, Thanks for giving us that 4 years of fun and laughs. Wishing you well on your future endeavors. :)

I'm on a roll. Good for me, unfortunate for my wallet. Since I have no TV, and no more school, my idle time is spent reading books. I go through one paperback in a week. Sometimes less. I've been visiting Fully booked and Powerbooks so often recently that I feel that my wallet is just groaning. Case in point, I assign myself an allowance every payday. And I noticed that in the last 2 paydays, I spent more than half of my allowance in books! I barely eat out anymore, and when I do, I'm lucky that DA POGI pays for it (sometimes :) ). I'm blogging, I'm babbling, because I feel sh*tty at such an early hour! Just got to love work! :p

While most people I know can provide advice for heartbreak, I've never really had that much experience in the department. DA POGI and I have been together for almost 7 years. Those 7 years have been wonderful. Yes, we do have spats now and then, but the worst we had only lasted 3 days. And yes, we did break up for a while, even if that while meant 2 hours of not talking. I guess I can never say things like "I know how you feel" when people tell me about their heartbreaks. I don't even want to know how heartbreak feels like. I've always believed that love is the scariest emotion of all, especially if you have learned to love someone with your heart and soul. But it is also the most fulfilling emotion if the love that you give is reciprocated. I'm just babbling.

I was wearing heels last Sunday for my cousin's wedding. My dad and bro were kidding me that I'm so not used to wearing heels that I still look *maton* walking around with strappy heels. Syempre deadma na lang. I look fairly decent at work. I wear jeans, a decent shirt and my nikes. Buti nga di ko dinadalasan ang pagsuot ng birks. I don't know what will happen to me if I am put into the corporate world. Or at least put into a company where corporate dress code is followed. It would surely be the end of me. Me, not wearing my nikes to work? *shudder* But sometimes it feels good to dress up. I wear skirts and soft pants when DA POGI and I go out. Nothing really fancy, pero at least I am able to establish to my bethroted na babae din naman ang papakasalan niya. For DA POGI, the weekend is a chance to dress down. For me, it's a chance to be pagirly. We are an odd couple. We can be seen around the malls with me wearing jeans, nikes and a t-shirt, DA POGI in polo barong, slacks and shiny shoes. Odd pair talaga.

My cousin got married in Batangas yesterday. The place was gorgeous! I know it's too far but it was very beautiful, magical even. I was in awe when I entered the reception venue. Anyways, got me thinking real hard about getting a coordinator. Her mass had a lot of booboos in that the person she assigned to check the flow of the wedding and make sure that everything was ok left her place after she arranged the wedding procession. The bearers didn't know when to stand up, and the cord and veil sponsors stand up and sit down as if trying to find out if they are to take the veil and cord already. But according to my other cousin, who got married ages ago, every wedding has its quirks. Which is true by the way. One can never have a perfect wedding however hard you work at it. There will always be that one thing that wouldn't fall into place. One cousin of mine got married without a photographer in sight, and the other had half of her food stolen. So, yesterday's wedding would seem perfect compared with the other incidents, di ba? And the wedding was so small. As in less than 100 people. Maybe because the place was so far (the bride and the groom are both not from batangas), only people who really wanted to witness the event came. Most of the people there are relatives of the groom. There were only 20 of us from the bride's side of the family. The affair was so small that the boquet toss and garter toss consisted of cousins! :p Anyways, Best Wishes to J and my new cousin B! :)

I just moved offices. Took me all of 30 minutes to move my stuff from 1 cubicle to another. Would've taken less but I didn't want to utilize a box. So I went back and forth between 2 offices. I'm just waiting for them to install my phone line. Hay! The area here is much quieter. Baka dito na lang ako umupo forever, as in hindi na ako lilipat. :D -------------------- It's a small world after all. Pero I don't need friendster to tell me that. I've accepted the fact that I am related to almost anybody by 6 degrees of separation. Ganun talaga ang life. Friday na naman. :)

I should really start considering moving closer to work. I'm always tired and looking forward to weekends to get the much needed sleep. But the truth is, I can't even imagine myself living here. I am such a city girl by heart that I can't imagine not passing by the mall at least twice a week. I also want to spend time with my mom as much as possible because in 6 months, I would be married and would be living away (not far away) from her. Last night, my mom and I had a discussion about this. We have both noticed that I've been starting up my day really sluggishly. See, I am a morning person. I wake up at a really early hour and most of my productive stuff are done on mornings. But my mom has noticed that I don't talk as much on our way to the shuttle because I am in a daze. Which is true. I'm only perked up after my shuttle ride, in which I get an hours worth of sleep. I don't want to complain much since it is my own decision anyways not to move. But I just need this one instance to say that I am tired. -------------------- I have one less reason to look forward to my day. I love my job. As in sobrang I love it. I can't say the same about the relationships I have with people here though. It just seems so strange to feel that I am not connecting anymore with them. Recently, most of my office friends are busy that we don't seem to have time to talk anymore. And as far as I know, I can only attribute it to one reason. I just hope that I get over this feeling. Mukhang ayaw na niya ako ifriendster.

I'm starting to think that my Boss is doing a Miranda Priestly. Emails have been flying back and forth regarding something that has a very vague description. Don't want to ask directly because I've already been scolded. Basta, ang gulo mo meyn!

My cousin bought me a 128M SD card for my Palm. So I can use the MP3 playback system. So excited to get it. Thanks Ate! :) Now, I'm super excited to buy a multi card reader/writer. Not that I need it that much pero mas mabilis magload pag ganun. Maski yung cf ko para sa camera dun na lang. One of these days, hopefully before christmas, I'll be posting my wishlist. Yung meron talagang mabibili ang friends ko for me. :)
