Rosa blogged about one of the sweetest songs she's heard.
Coincidentally, Bespren sent me an mp3 of this song. It seems that she dreamt of me and DA POGI and Passenger Seat was playing in the background. So, what I did was play the song and find the lyrics. Super sweet. If DA POGI sang this to me, I might just faint from the kilig. :)
Passenger Seat
Stephen Speaks
I look at her and have to smile
As we go driving for a while
Her hair blowing in the open window of my car and
As we go, the traffic lights
I watch them glimmer in her eyes
In the darkness of the evening
Refrain:
And I've got all that I need
Right here in the passenger seat
Oh and I can't keep my eyes on the road
Knowing that she's inches from me
We stop to get something to drink
My mind clouds and I can't think
Scared to death to say I love her
When the moon peeps from the clouds
I hear my heart it's so loud
Try to tell her simply, that
Refrain(2x)
Oh and I know
This love grows...
Refrain
Oh and I've got all that I need
(I look at her and have to smile
As we go driving for a while)
Right here in the passenger seat
(Her hair blowing in the open window of my car and)
Oh and I can't keep my eyes on the road
(As we go I see the lights
I watch them glimmer in her eyes)
Knowing that she's inches from me
(In the darkness of the evening)

Oh! and I might just fall in love with Zach. He and Flo won the Amazing Race. Grabe! Half a million bucks and the patience of a saint??? Who wouldn't fall in love with that. heh.

Finally went to school yesterday. Enlisted and almost had a heart attack from the fees. I'll just let Christmas pass and then I'll pay the tuition.

Savings dwindling.
I just talked to Tere and we have come into an agreement that she would buy me a discman and I would pay her when she get back. It's a reasonable investment considering that discmans are cheaper in the US. One notable problem is I've been dipping into my savings account quite often now. Especially now that I am definite that I would get an incomplete in one of my subjects. I won't be able to reimburse the almost 15k that I shelled out for tuition.
Actually, I am having second thoughts on enrollment. Yesterday was enlistment day and I didn't go. For one, I still have that darn project to finish, which we were unable to, and second I was just not in the mood to decide which subjects I am to take. This term really traumatized me. It has changed my notion of how grad school is. I know that it is hard, that's a given, but I expected it to develop my critical thinking and not my soldering prowess.
My hands still look like they have jaundice from the brush with ferric chloride yesterday. My clothes yesterday were permanently stained by ferric chloride. I just want this to be over so that I could rest and really relax during my 2 week vacation.
I'm just so tired.

I now know what I want for Christmas. A Norah Jones CD. Kung pwede pakisamahan na rin ng discman. :D

I'm starting to hate grad school.
Alright, maybe hate is too strong a word since I've only been going for three months. Maybe it was just a bad case of karma. I don't know. It's just that my term has not yet ended and here they go announcing that we have to enroll for next term. My grades aren't even out yet!
Plus, I'm getting sick and tired of the project. Literally. I've had this incessant cold for the past 3 weeks and I am always bone tired. I've yet to have a good night's sleep. And I've been late for work the whole week! Something that I have not done for the past couple of months.
Please God, just let this term end without any more problems.

Tuesday. Damn it I'm tired. I've yet to have a good night's sleep these past few days. School is taking up so much of my time.
Antagal naman ng Biyernes. :(

I blogged this morning but Blogger did not post it. Shame on them. I was quite inspired because I received my first Christmas gift today.
Eme gave me a gift this morning. I just remembered that I do not have a single gift for anybody on my list. I will be so glad once this term is over. I'll have the time that I need to buy the gifts. Now, money is the only problem.
Spent a couple of thousand of pesos for the project. I hope that we could make it work this time. We have too much at stake already and we really need to have this working. We've invested too much time and money on it. Bespren and Pauee tried their best to console me. I was depressed to the point that I cursed the p*******a about a dozen times that day. Thus came the discussion that I care too much about things. About me not being patient enough. I have always been a worrier and lets just say that Saturday brought out the worse in me.
Anyways, worst case, I won't be able to reimburse the money I spent for my first term. That would be really bad. I am now scouring up all the money I can find, just to save up for next terms fees.

Thank God for headphones!
R is laughing to his heart's desire. He is seated in Eme's cube (which is across mine) and guffawing like there's no one around them. As in the laughter is ringing in my ears. It's the kind that's not infectuous, more mocking. Like a crowing chicken, or when chickens are clucking. Basta, its irritating. Especially if it's the only thing that you are hearing. I've already shushed them but nothing.
I am now currently listening to Lisa Stanfield.
It's hard enough to concentrate when my nose is, literally, dripping.

You know the boss is not around when people start to talk in non-muted voices. I mean at the top of their lungs. :)
BB is out today to do our school project. He sent me SMS to tell me that they are not yet done and it is a great possibility that he won't be able to make it to our Christmas party. That leaves, just 3 of us to present for the team. Heck! Party is later and we still have nothing to present. Oh, and they are not calling it Christmas Party, its Thanksgiving party, to be politically correct.
Anyways, since I was so busy this week, I asked DA POGI to buy the gift for this afternoon's Kris Kringle. Let's just say he exceeded the limit by almost 200%. I couldn't say anything because: (1) I asked him a favor and he readily complied, and (2) the limit is just too small that I really need to add money to get a decent gift. We're modifying Kris Kringle this year. Three weeks ago, we picked a baby from Admin's magic box. We give our "babies" gifts on a specified theme. Then today, whoever we picked would give us a gift. So a complete reversal. If you gave really bad gifts the first 3 tries, karma would come back to you and bite you in the butt. :)
I am currently working on the project documentation. And its hard. I have to discern between what is too technical and what is to mundane. Another thing is, I don't know the twist and turns of the project. I only did a part of it. Project must be really good and working, the teacher was pissed off last night because of a cheating incident during our last take home exam. I am so disappointed at my classmates. Heck! They don't deserve to be in the graduate program if they act that way.
Sometimes, some people really need a good smack in the head just to bring them to their senses.

K sent out a thank you email to all those who attended her party last Saturday. After every name (which was listed alphabetically), she puts in a small comment and the words, I love you just to say that she was really thankful for everyone's attendance.
What made me fall over from my chair from laughing was her comment beside her ex's name. They have recently started to talk again after a long period of not communicating. Para bang she's starting the healing process na. Anyways, here's what it says:
R - Sana matanggap ka na sa ___________ o sa ________, wherever. Sorry, I CAN'T LOVE YOU.
This after saying I love you to everybody, even the weirdest acquaintances.

The sniffles is spreading here at the office like a wildfire. First it was the people from the area across us, then the area next to us. Almost instinctively, my throat started burning up yesterday afternoon, just to signal that it is the start of the colds season here in our area. Why am I always first???
After several months of being on time, I was late today, because of this. I feel that my head has swollen and my throat is just to icky. One good thing about it, I have a bedroomy voice. :)

How come I don't like John Mayer?
I heard his songs in DA POGI's car on our way home from school. He told me that that was John Mayer singing, and he actually had a cassette of his songs. We listened to it and I just didn't like it. Sure, his voice was nice compared to, say, Diether Ocampo, but the songs were all the same. All the same melody and he sings it almost the same way. There's just no variety on how he sings it. I just don't get what the fuss is all about. Same way that I don't get why men fuss over Maui Taylor.
Also, John Mayer reminds me of Giovanni Ribisi. I kept picturing Giovanni Ribisi singing ala Frank Jr to John Mayer's songs.
O well, to each his own naman di ba?

I don't really know where the time went.
Friday, I went to UPLB to do a project with my groupmates. Managed to have the thing working by 10PM that same day. Unfortunately, one groupmate wasn't able to complete all her tasks because the chips were CMOS and kept bonking out on her. Anyways, BB and I were able to have our circuits working together. That's better than nothing at all.
Wasn't able to sleep Friday night. Went home from LB and managed to catch a few zzz's on the bus. When I got home, I knew I needed to get some rest. Had a takehome exam to do and had to review for my exam tomorrow and had to go to K's house for her birthday and had to solder my circuit. Out of that 4, I was only able to do 2. Very disappointing but, heck, better than nothing.
K's party was ok. Drinks were flowing like water from the faucet. Was able to down Strawberry Vodka Cruiser which was really yummy and a shot of tequila. Actually, the shot was taken as a double dare for DA POGI to start singing the Macarena. I downed the shot, but my handsome boyfriend couldn't follow the lyrics to the song. Oh! and I managed to sing 2 songs with him. And it came out nicely. I am no singer but the love of my life is far worse than I am when it comes to singing. The people there were kilig when we sang. E kasi naman, Ikaw ang aking Mahal ang kinanta namin. Tapos tumitingin pa sa akin si DA POGI pag chorus. O well, mushy as it is, it was fun. RK was there and it was fun. Was a little awkward at first since his ex C and her husband was there. Good thing DA POGI and I were there, we planned on skipping the party pa naman, buti na lang we went.
I didn't want to drink that night because I knew I had several things to do the next day, and we went home early, before midnight. Managed to wake up at 10:30. Started my takehome exam at 11 and finished at 6:30PM. Yes. I was that slow. Bespren and Pauee were saying that it should be easy. Not for me. It took me the whole day to finish that exam. When I got to the office today, BB had a simpler solution than I did and it took him less than 2 hours to do the exam. Something is seriously wrong with me.
Anyways, I was unable to study for the Math finals and I was unable to do the circuit. I am now in panic mode and am unable to function correctly. I don't know if I'll be able to think straight today without thinking about the status of my exams or my project. I am severely worried of what today might bring. If I knew that MS would cause me this much grief, I would've thought thrice.
And now after just over a year of abuse, my cellphone has decided to go bonkers on me. Just doesn't wanna charge anymore.
What the heck!

So they have set it. Christmas party would be Friday next week. Good luck to us!
Speaking of Christmas, Has anyone been to the Christmas Village? It's more of a Christmas Street actually. I live just a few blocks away from it and was once a victim of the traffic that it caused (I've since learned to avoid that route like a plague when darkness falls). I still remember the house in Corinthians that has christmas lights all over the roof. Think that and multiply it 100x and you'll get the Christmas Village. I wonder how the electricity bills are. Or, I wonder if they ever wonder about the electricity they waste. We are after all dependent on fossil fuels for electricity, and one day there might not be enough fossil fuels to support us.
Whatever, I'm beginning to sound like a scrooge.

So the Christmas party has started to wreak havoc on relationships.
The boys don't want to go because they don't want a lunch/afternoon affair, E is mad because they don't want to consider another place for the venue and C is confused because she is, after all, the one who will have to do everything. The boss is acting weird because nobody wants to commit on the date and I'm bewildered as to who picked my codename for the exchange gifts.
The Christmas party is a week away. I hope they find something amenable to everybody fast. Or else they'll have one unhappy group.

BB is out of office today. I won in our little game of Jack en Poy and now he's on his way to attend a thing at Hotel Nikko. Hay! I hope he doesn't fall asleep.
Anyways, I don't know what I'll wear if I lost and had to go. The thing is business casual and the closest I have to slacks are cream almost white pants. Rummaging through my stuff, one would deduce that we wear everyday casual clothes to the office. I have several pairs of jeans and lots of striped tees for the office. My jackets are usually hooded or denim. I have 2 cross trainers, sneakers, lots of slipons and 2 loafers for shoes.
I'm 24 years old and I don't have a complete wardrobe.
I'm adding this to my to do list.

Must do list before I'm 30.
- Have a specialty dish. Lowering the bar, learn how to cook.
- Finish MS degree. This is ample time. Six years is a long time to finish something that can be done in 3.
- Learn how to swim float.
- Think of something that's worth patenting.
- Buy a car. Learn how to drive stick.
- Move out of parent's house.
- Earn my first million dollars pesos.
Will probably add to this list as time goes by.

I miss spending time with DA POGI.
I've been very busy this weekend, with the impending submission of our project. DA POGI was busy the whole week last week so we really weren't able to spend some time together. Last time we went out on a real date was about a month ago. Way back when he had time to spare before his project was released into production, back when school was not taking up too much of my time.
We managed to squeeze in a couple of hours last Friday. He went with me to gamol to buy project stuff then he went home. Then Saturday, I spent the whole day working on the project and Sunday was just to busy and tiring for me. I slept 2AM Sunday morning and managed to catch mass at 10AM. Just to sit and do the project right after mass until early afternoon. He passed by to give me the multimeter I borrowed from his dad and stayed around to watch the first half of the Final Fantasy DVD. Then he had to go to his Tito's birthday dinner.
I was getting cranky from being left out. Mind you, I didn't want to go but I was acting like a child when he went ahead without me. I can't think of any good reason for my acting this way except for PMS. Or maybe pressure from the schoolwork.
I submitted my 2 week holiday leave application. Two weeks of bumming around. Thank goodness!
