Oh yes! I had it so bad that I sometimes say expletives when driving even if my mother is my passenger. And I have had times that my mother slapped my hand for cursing while driving (Sorry Mommy.). My friend, Bomb, would often ask me to calm down while driving. My sister would laugh at all the expletives I've used (believe me, I can be creative), and would often say thj
Though my road rage is not the Rolito Go kind, I still would often get stressed during traffic. Hurling expletives at incompetent drivers is my way of releasing the stress. I know, I know, they don't hear me when I shout at them from inside an airconditioned car. But, I can't help it.
That was then.
Now, I have a PSP and I have the Burnout Legends UMD. During those days that I feel as if I want to strangle someone on the road, I imagine what it would be like to play the Road Rage part of the game.
As a result, my officemates have seen an improvement in my demeanor. They actually say that I look calmer. Looks like the advice I got about diverting anger into a different expression really worked.
Hay naku! Hopefully, a calmer me will mean a more productive me.
