It has always been very hard for me to buy jeans in local stores. I am one of those women who have been blessed with "lovely lady lumps, in the back" but not in the front.
During those days when I was at my heaviest, I would wear my old jeans and just make do with the muffin top thing that my belly does, and jump as mightily as I could to fit in them. Yes! if you felt a small earthquake at around May of 2005, that was probably me jumping so I can fit my thighs into my jeans.
Since losing a couple of pounds, nothing much has changed in that area. I don't have the muffin top thing going on anymore, but the thighs are still there. When I told my cousin what size jeans I wear, she was surprised. I used to be a size 10. A tight fitting size 10. Now, I am an 8. So translating that to Filipino Sizes, I used to be a 33 in HerBench, now, I range from 29-31 (depending on the style). I honestly think that there is something wrong with the sizing in the Philippines. I was so distraught during the time that I was heavy because, not only did I have a big waist, but even with the bigger sizes, my thighs still couldn't fit!
If I had more talent, like singer-actress-designer-perfumer Jenn1fer L0p3z, I could probably give her a run for her money.
