I'm beginning to turn into a girly girl. MUST... RESIST...
Bought bohemian skirt and 2 tank tops at Greenhills today. Had my very own Carson Kressly in tow. Broke free of the usual jeans and shirt attire. I'm still ok with this as long as I don't turn into an uncontrollable shopaholic.
Today, the BOMB commented that I am weird. As if I didn't know yet. When my friends comment about a girl's bag or a girl's attire, I look at the electronics that they have with them.
Must've been a man in my past life.

I would think that by now most people have read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. If you haven't read it and you are reading this entry STOP NOW! I have waited a month to write a commentary on the book, and since this is MY blog, I can do whatever I wish. If I spoiled your reading, BITE ME. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Since Harry and the gang are now 16, hormones are raging. Not exactly the type of hormonal raging that you read in Sweet Dreams book, but couples are being paired left and right. So there's Harry and then there's Ginny. I liked the fact that they ended up in each other's arms. Ginny has had a crush on Harry since HP and the Chamber of Secret. And them falling for each other is like a "YEY!" for unrequited love. And I was hoping that Ron and Hermione gets paired up in this book, but NOOO! If they don't get together by Book 7, I would seriously be angry. Naman! They've been unconciously flirting with each other since HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Next, Dumbledore dying. I think they did a great job with how Dumbledore died. Having Snape kill Dumbledore is like the ultimate betrayal. Now I really want to know what Snape told Dumbledore for the latter to trust him so much! And I would have to applaud Snape for being the best when it comes to Occlumency. Even one of the strongest wizards (Dumbledore) was not able to get through to him and see how evil he is. The Defense for the Dark Arts position is really cursed. Snape only stayed for a year also.
For the Dursley's, I don't really get it when Dumbledore said that they are being protected because Harry is in their home. Can someone explain that to me? I tried going back and forth about what that meant and what it means that the only person they are harming is Dudley. Is it because when they are mean to Harry, they are showing Dudley how to be a mean person? Or is it something more magical than that? Also, has anyone ever wondered why after the first chapter noone hears of the Dursley's anymore?
Didn't like the ending that much because it was too Spiderman-ish. I felt that Harry was trying to be Peter Parker when he told Ginny that they couldn't be together anymore. HOWEVER, I am looking forward to Book 7 when Harry goes to where it all started and beat Voldemort once and for all.
I find that there are a lot of loose ends in the whole series. Like, why is it that there was only minor mention of Neville Longbottom when in fact Neville could be the Chosen One and not Harry? When will Harry ever show that he is in fact an outstanding Wizard and not an ordinary wizard as Snape claims him to be? Will Dumbledore come back like a Phoenix that will rise from the ashes?
Looking forward to the next book. And it better be a good one. This is JK's last chance to tell the people the How's and Why's of the story.
Now back to regular programming.

Good news and bad news.
Bad news: I think I sprained my right foot as I am having difficulty walking. It's not swollen or anything, and I don't think there's anything broken. I had to skip work today because I don't think I can walk from my house to the bus pickup point.
Good news: As I am a little disabled, I will not be able to go to the mall today and spend any of my hard earned money.
So I'm just thinking, Good timing!

Reason #1,234 why you don't wear platforms when you're sleepy.
So in short, kaninang umaga, pupuyos puyos pa ako nung naglalakad ako papuntang bus. Bihis na bihis pa man din ako, with matching dangling earrings pa.

Monologue with myself.
I am at war with myself.
Whomever shall win, I will still be the loser.
I will not permit her.
*Thanks Bomb for the correction.

Pause
M: Hindi sya Smart. Kasi Addict sya, Addict.
She said this in a loud voice that had us bursting in laughter.
Haaay! :)
Yun lang. Share ko lang.

I don't get it.
I just don't get it when couples argue about something such as when they will get married. Methinks it should be a matter of "Do you want to get married or not?". It should be either you know it or you don't.
Sure, there's some part of it that requires planning. But some part of it, I believe, you leave to Lady Luck. If we always say, we need to have a house first, or we need to buy a car first, or whatever material possession that we may need to have first before one get married, isn't that a way to excuse one's self from committing?
True, we need to be financially independent from our parents. But isn't financial independence just a matter of change in lifestyle?
I might be naive in terms of how I see things. But I keep thinking about the stuff that went through my mind when we decided that we want to get married. We just took a leap of faith knowing that we would rather spend the rest of our lives together, commit to each other. Sure marriage is just a bond with a piece of paper but it is a paper that is LEGALLY binding.
Owell. I'm just wondering about the whys.

I'm back in Manila.
During my 2 week vacation, I was able to realize a couple of things about myself.
1. That I love the fact that I can go on the Internet anytime to look for directions. This is most especially useful in a country with their own character set.
2. That I get bored by shopping. There are many malls to go to in Bangkok but I was seriously not enjoying the shopping experience. Max that I'll stay in the mall is 3 hours.
3. That I still love getting up at 11AM in the morning without a care in the world.
4. That I love wearing flipflops. I thought that I was probably too serious to be a flipflop wearing kind of girl, but my flipflops were my best friend.
5. That I love sandals that give me an extra 2-3 inches of height even if it makes me look like Goliath among my peers. I bought 2 new sandals from Naturalizer and they are simply FAB!
6. That I need to take up another hobby aside from reading. I was so seriously bored sometimes (see number 2) that my husband told me "Hon, hindi ka pwede housewife." *LOL*
7. That I can make do with sign language. Not too many thais know English. Even those working on upscale department stores.
8. That I have a short memory span. I only learned 2 phrases the whole week I was there. Sawadee ka = Hello; Kap Khun Ka = Thank you. Needed to write that down before I forget.
9. That I have a great husband. See I know this already, but I still want to write that down.
10. That I am more of an adventure seeker.
Had a blast! Hmmm, I wonder where my wanderlust will take me next?

Been slumming it up in Bangkok for 6 days now.
Bangkok is a shopper's paradise. I have been here 6 days and a grand total of 5 days were spent shopping. Yep, you read right, 5 days.
My feet almost gave out on me, and my back is killing me again. I have been to only 2 tourist spots and I feel as if, I should expose myself to more of them before I go home. Believe it or not, I have become a shopaholic in that short span of time.
I bought a couple of Mixstar flipflops at half the price of how they are going in Manila and a couple of shirts that I bought at bazaars. I have bought 2 bags (one for my mom and one for me) and I am still looking forward to tomorrow when I can still go back to MBK and get some more bags. I am now worried that my bags will be filled to the brim and I might not be able to close it properly.
When I am not at malls, I have transformed to a Tekken addict. I have unlocked characters already and I am looking forward to beating up my hubby in Tekken again.
Loving my vacation time.
So how have you been?
