Another American Idol post.
I was way off in yesterday's prediction that Anthony will be the next one to go home. I just did not see it coming.
It was surprising how the voting turned out. Nadya, Anwar and Jessica were in the bottom 3. I was quite surprised that Nadya is still in the bottom 3 since I think she gave a stellar performance. She might not have the best voice, but her performance was waaaayyyy better than, say, Anthony Federov. As for Anwar, this was what I was saying. He'd better improve. The mere fact that he is in the bottom 3 should be a reminder for him that people are actually listening to his singing.
It's a little saddening to see Jessica go. I think it's still too early for her to go. She has great vocals, but people just don't seem to like her enough to vote for her.

Wednesdays are TV nights. :D
Was watching American Idol last night and I'm really starting to get disappointed at Anwar Robinson. Ever since the start of the Finals he has yet to impress me with any of the songs that he has sung. Where was the guy who's rendition of What a Wonderful World made me have goosebumps? What happened to him?! Anwar was so good during the semis that I was hoping he will win the whole thing. True, he has a certain likeability in him but if he doesn't show much more, then he would probably lose the whole thing.
I was hoping that Constantine will be eliminated this week. Looks like it's not gonna happen. Aside from the smouldering look, he actually did great last night. DARN!
I'm thinking I need to say goodbye to Anthony Federov. He was in the bottom 3 last week, and he did not do exceptionally well this week to save himself.
--------------------
Rob and Amber finished well in the second leg of last night's episode. But now everybody must really hate them for not stopping to check if the brothers were ok after their accident. Even Phil asked them if they stopped or not.
Rob's Survivor roots are showing. He sees this game as a dog eat dog game and doesn't give a horse's ass as to what will happen to the other contestants as long as he gets to the finish line on time.
Still rooting for them though.

Happy Easter! :D
I am proud to say that I survived 6 weeks of not going to the movies. :) I had to subtract one week since we watched a Series of Unfortunate Events.
And what do we do to celebrate Easter? Watched a movie of course!
We were able to catch Hitch. I was secretly hoping that it would still be in theaters after Lent. Good thing it was still showing at the Ayala Cinemas.
The movie was really funny. And Kevin James was so cute! Basta nakakatuwa sya. Bagay sila ni Amber Valetta. LOL.
Work muna. Matagal tagal ang bakasyon. Kailangan humabol sa mga gawain.

With days zipping by without us noticing it, it may be time to take a break and take everything in stride. And that is exactly what I did yesterday.
I noticed that for the past 2 weeks I was feeling a little depressed and easily irritated that I sat back and tried to take stock of what was happening to me. I knew that I was tired from lack of sleep and stress but I really wasn't listening to what my body was telling me. In the past 3 months, I have already used up 3 sick days, which means 1 in a month, which is not so good.
Yesterday, I decided to take one of my vacation leaves and try to enjoy my long weekend. I spent most of the weekend catching up on much needed sleep. I checked my mail Saturday and prepared for a meeting yesterday morning, but aside from that, I did not open my laptop. For most of the day yesterday, I was offline. My laptop was off, my phone was off during my nap time. It felt good to feel disconnected for even such a short time.
Now I feel refreshed and ready to face my battles again.
Bring it on!

When it comes to clothing, I can be a little picky.
It used to be that I am ok with wearing the Php100 shirts that you can get at the GoldCrest Tiangge. I used to have, like, 10 of those in different colors. But then when I got married and switched labanderas, one by one my Php100 shirts retired because of unrepairable damage to the seams.
I have a penchant for buying nice things, but because of limited budget during the time I was still single, I stayed clear of the brandname products. My only vice is electronics which I usually get from 0% interest sales.
Now that I am married, my husband has been very supportive of the inner shopaholic in me. I still have a hard time parting with my money (read: makunat), but having a supportive husband has made it easier.
Why am I writing this? I'm trying to justify 6 Bayo polo-shirts that I bought in different colors.
Hehe.

I can't seem to blog lately. Thoughts swirling in my head but really nothing coherent enough to put in writing.
Call it writer's block, but I'm not a writer. I'm just someone playing around with my keyboard when I am bored.
Just needed to post this so that my friends know I'm still alive. :D

TAR7 has started.
I am rooting for the underdogs, Rob and Amber. I call them the underdogs because everyone just wants to eliminate them. Using first impressions, I don't like Debbie and Bianca, they're just too bitchy for my taste. Love Lynn and Alex, they add flair to the contest.
It was funny the way Rob and Amber started the race. They couldn't find the trunk opener in the car. So they were in last place at the beginning of the race. But with the use of their popularity, they were able to jump ahead of the pack. I also like the way that they enjoyed what they are doing. Heck! They're doing it for the adventure, the million dollars is just a bonus.
I was glued to the TV from 8PM to MN (American Idol, CSI, TAR7). I hope they don't move the schedule of TAR7 to coincide with AI.

Just about right.
Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence | You are great at finding patterns and relationships between things.Always curious about how things work, you love to set up experiments. You need for the world to make sense - and are good at making sense of it.You have a head for numbers and math ... and you can solve almost any logic puzzle.
You would make a great scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, or mathematician. |

DA POGI is my rock.
I am currently having major personal issues that has caused me a lot of stress and grief. It's so major that it has caused a major fall out between me and a close family member. It's made me sad to think that it has come to a point of not talking to each other. But I need to be strong. I'd rather not talk to her than hurt her even more with the words coming out of me. So it's more of avoidance.
I am not praying anymore for change. I know it's hard to change someone who does not want it and who does not want my help. I am now praying for my understanding to understand where she's coming from. I am praying for maturity to open my mind and not constrict my thinking to what I know is right or wrong.
It hurts sometimes so bad that I need a shoulder to cry on. I need hugs to assure me that everything will be ok.
DA POGI does not say a word about it. He knows I'm hurting. He's just there when I need a shoulder to cry on, when I need an ear to listen to me. He's there to give me hugs and soothe me during crying spells.
DA POGI is my rock. And I am thankful for that.
