This is my first post using the new blogger. :) Been out for the last few days for some whip lashing. ;) Hectic schedules aside, I still managed to put in a few hours of partying last thursday, never mind that my mind was half asleep friday morning. hehe...
So anyways, I recently found out that I am a completely C person. For those not in the know, there are 4 types of major personalities -- Dominant, Influential, Steady, and Conscientious. I happen to fall in the conscientious mold. Let's just say that I am overly conscientious that the results of the personality test has my adapted and natural personality as a C.
A C person is characterized as a person who likes to follow rules and processes. Call us square if you must, but being a C person also means that you can be expected to deliver with the highest quality. The test results were on the dot. It's as if my mother had written the test results. It was at least nice knowing that I was not the only C person in the group. All I can say is at least I now have an excuse for my personality. hehehe...

On the wedding front, K has been helping me so much. She has contacted some photographers and is trying to come up with short list so that I won't be bothered with too much info. Thanks K!

Been waking up in intervals of an hour to check if the lines have already freed up. I've been wanting to go online since 10PM last night. I actually woke up at 3AM today, just to check if the lines have freed up. No such luck! Just needed to go do an assignment due this morning at 8AM. Hectic schedules. Scary.

Doggone it! I'm addicted.
Miss Mona's posting audio clips. She posts her blurts using audio. Call me a stalker, but her voice sounds so soothing! Please forgive me for eating up bandwidth, but I've listened to them for several times now. It makes me wonder if her part time job is the voice over for a phone company.
Stalker!

Which of the following statements is false?

-- I've been sick the past couple of days.
-- I've spent the past couple of days banging my head on my desk.

Jennifer Lopez is virtually a virgin, according to loved-up Ben Affleck. The woman's been with, like, five guys in her whole life,' announced gallant Ben, exposing the intimate details of his fiancee's love life in a recent interview. 'There aren't many virgins in their thirties,' he said, having evidently hunted high and Lo. 'Jen's about as close as you're likely to find, certainly in Hollywood.' This kind of logic seems also to have infected pure-as-driven-Snowpez. 'I have such respect for the institution of marriage,' opined the Latina lovely after a raunchy photo shoot. 'I don't believe people should spend their lives together if they're not going to be totally happy.' A woman of principle, it has taken three weddings and counting for her to prove just how much respect she has for holy bond of matrimony. Link here
Got this from Robin's blog. I gotta say, JLo's comment is funny funny funny. And I wonder why Ben Affleck's telling people about how many men JLo has been with? I don't know if this is a twisted version of a guy who is a kiss and tell.

Not having breakfast is bad for your health.
I've been here at work since 6AM. Been answering emails, going to meetings. This is my first break of the day. I didn't have breakfast. I was planning to have one at 9AM, but then I have to do the paperwork for my training next week. I'm off to Pampanga for training.
I got the bridesmaid dress. I look pregnant in it. :(
Be back later for more. If I still can...

I am majorly pissed.
I was supposed to take the 6PM bus back to Manila. I was at the door at exactly 6. I saw the bus pass me and I asked the barker to ask the driver to wait for me at the other building, since they are gonna pass there anyways. Di daw pwede kasi dapat daw 6 pabalik na ng Manila, late na daw ako.
I didn't say anything, for one, he was half correct. I should've went out before 5:50. But still, it wouldn't take me 2 minutes to get to the other building. Just a common courtesy of using the walkie talkie and ask the bus driver to stay there for 2 minutes. Didn't get that from him.
So now, I'm stuck here. Waiting for the 7:45 bus. I'll be packed by 7PM I promise. I'll be on my way to the bus at that time, just so I won't be left behind. Else, I have to wait for the next bus, which will be tomorrow.

Yesterdays mishap scared me.
DA POGI and I were walking in Glorieta. We were on the second floor near The Hub. I was taking off my engagement ring because I was gonna take the MRT and I usually don't wear my ring on public transport. As I was putting it in my pocket, it dropped. Not on the floor, but down to the floor below us. I let out a little whimper and asked DA POGI to go down while I watch it from the second floor. Before he reached the ring, exactly two people have already stepped on it. Because of that mishap, I became paranoid that the ring will fall off from my pocket during the short MRT ride. So I asked DA POGI to take it home with him.
Now, I don't know what got into me but, last night I dreamt that DA POGI and I broke off the engagement. I won't go into details but the dream was so real, that I had tears in my eyes this morning when I woke up. Hindi muta, tears. I woke up feeling tired, as if I didn't sleep the whole night.

And the wedding mania continues.
I have heard of several more people tying the knot before my May 2004 walk down the aisle. What's with next year? How come people are getting married???
Still no caterer in sight for me. I caught a glimpse of someone's wedding excel sheet, and it made me wonder whether I am really an organized person. Grabe! That excel sheet put my organization to shame. :)
Have to tidy up some stuff that needs to be done. The checklist for example needs to be updated. Since we already have the things we need to do for the church, might as well create a checklist for it so that everything will be in place.
With all this wedding madness, I forgot that Harry Potter 5 will be out in bookstores this month.

I have booked the reception venue and the Church. I've moved churches since the first one didn't really give me flexibility on the reception venues available. All of the venues there are way beyond our budget.
Huge headache prevented me from going out last Saturday. I slept at around 9PM and woke up at 2:30 AM. Headache didn't go away with sleep. Had to take a tablet just to make it go away. Haven't had that bad a headache for months now, so it was surprising that it came back. Maybe it was from all the tiresome acticities I did the whole week.

Tom Cruise will be making a movie about the Bataan death march with, no less than, Steven Spielberg as director.
I wonder where they'll be staying? :D When Cruise did Born on the Fourth of July, they stayed in Villa Angela in Vigan. I hope he goes around the Ayala Malls, so I can accidentally bump into him.
Hindi naman masamang mangarap a.

It's a beautiful morning!
Managed to catch a lot of zzz's on the bus on the way to the office. Closed 2 issues already and the morning has not even ended yet. Got to talk to a person who I thought was really rotten, but it seems he has changed.
All's good.

So the thingie went fine. I was actually able to get a t-shirt for it.
I surprised myself though. They were asking to give my ending spiel and this is what I said:
Continue to inspire. Don't underestimate your power. Even the lowliest of people can inspire somebody.
Even I was struck by the profundity of that.

On my voicemail this morning:
"Hi Honey! I just want to greet you good morning. I hope you do well on your thingie, seminar or something. Anyways, I love you and I'll talk to you later."
At least I know he's supportive about my thingie. :)

I need to back up my posts. I don't think Blogger will ever fix the problem with my archives.
I hate people who don't read emails then come to my cube to ask me a question that the answer is on the email. I hate people that are late when I wake up really early in the morning just to be on time. I hate people who think that they are my boss and that they can tell me what they want to be done.
This is what happens when I don't have coffee for 2 days.
UPDATE: I was in a better mood after lunch. Had a small dose of caffeine. I hope this calms me once and for all.

I don't know the exact temperature that they are keeping here at the office. All I know is that we are officially in eskimo land.
My fingernails are turning blue from the cold. No amount of coffee can warm my body. I only drink lukewarm water now. Cold water just makes me shiver, in a bad way. I'm still on 3 layers of clothing. NOT ENOUGH.
I've called facilities several times. I'm getting to be the person who is cold all the time.
I hope my fingers don't fall off from frostbite here at Eskimo Land.

Pinays have mastered the art of squatting while peeing. I don't know any Filipina girl who can't do it. I know someone who steps on the toilet to pee, another who simply can pee while in a squatting-almost sitting position. It's hell on the knees, I tell you.
I can never really say that I am a master at peeing while squatting. I must admit, I only pee when I really have to. And at times that I really need to go, I must be at least at home, or someone else's house, where I know the people who sit on the toilet. Let me tell you, it's not good for your urinary tract to control peeing. When I was in Malaysia, I would only pee in the hotel, or in the office. The Malaysia office toilets were cleaned as soon as someone came out of the cubicles. And there was tissue for your tush also. I must admit, I used the tissue and I sat on the toilet. After all, toilet seats are there to be sat on.
Call me elitist, but I would only pee in the lounge areas of Glorietta malls. The stalls are clean and tissue paper is flowing. Believe me, I worry who has sat there, but it's not really something that's keeping me awake at night. I just put tissue and I sit. I know how to squat, but since the toilets are clean, I sit.
I've never caught any skin disease in my tush, yet.
So now, I don't understand it. How come, when people use their toilets at home, they emerge with it still being clean, but when they use public toilets more often than not, there's pee on the toilet seat? Here in Cavite, I don't dare sit on the toilets. Simply for the reason that I once saw droplets of pee on a toilet seat.
I just realized, I have two pet peeves. One is when people just spit anywhere and Two when there's droplets of pee on the toilet seat.

Bridal shower went well.
I was in charge mostly of making sure that the bride was there. And of course the cake and the wine. Proved once again that I am a very bad liar. The bride was telling me that by the time we were halfway to the venue, she had already guessed that it will be her shower.
So, we had a few games. We had wedding charades, wherein they act out and try to guess wedding words. Loser has to go between the winners legs. Everybody had a few laughs, especially when they were trying to act out despedida de soltera. After which we had the bride guess what a series of pictures are. For every wrong answer, she takes off a piece of her clothing. Before the game had ended, she had taken off only her left sock. So to continue, we asked her some questions previously answered by the groom and see if their answers match. Again, she had to take something off for every wrong answer. By the time we were at the 10th question, she was completely naked. :)
We had some sparkling grape, which turned out to be really good, and some strawberry merlot and peach chardonnay. We had some cake and were still laughing by the time the evening ended.
It was a first for most of us, since showers here at the office usually meant having the girls go out for lunch. This is the first time we actually rented a room to have a par-tay.
All in all, not so bad. Fun. Great company.
